In 2008 Peter continued to pursue the task of bringing large scale kinetic art to the desert. The result was Tantalus which took on a much more political flavor than his previous works, and fit into the year’s theme the American Dream. The piece featured a human figure reaching for a golden apple, and teased the minds while burning some calories to keep it going.
The Tantalus project brought many new aspects of kinetic art into perspective and much was learned.
